Hi, I 'm Irena

I'm a Queenstown mum, photographer, kindergarten admin, dog walker, cake maker, and probably someone who takes far too many photos of my own daughter.

Photography has been part of my life for a long time. These days, I work at a local kindy as an admin, and when I'm not doing that, I'm usually with my daughter or out with my camera. 

I often joke that I'm my daughter's private photographer. She has probably had more photos taken of her than anyone else I know! 
But I genuinely love documenting the little things - the messy hair, big laughs, quiet moments, adventures, and all those ordinary bits of childhood that you don't realise you'll miss one day.

And now and then, I'm lucky enough to be invited into someone else's family life and photograph their kids, their family, their adventures, or a special little chapter of their lives.

That's probably my favourite part of photography.

I'm not really a "everyone look at the camera and smile" kind of photographer. I much prefer letting things happen naturally and catching the moments in between.

Kids being kids. Parents laughing. A little hand being held. Someone running off when they were definitely told not to. The cuddle, the chaos, and all the little things that make your family your family.

I don't think your photos need to be perfect. I think they just need to feel like you.

So that's me. Just a local mum with a camera, who genuinely loves taking photos and feels pretty lucky whenever someone trusts me to capture a little piece of their family life.

If you're happy to run around, have a laugh and maybe ignore the camera a little bit, we'll probably get along just fine. 

No Pressure, no need to know how to pose. Just come as you are.
